iPlayer-Desktop

The BBC iPlayer is causing a revolution in how we watch TV. There is no longer any need to sit down and just watch whats on. You can now choose what you like, see previous episodes and as its catch phase puts it 'it makes the unmissable unmissable'.

In our house we generally have a couple of BBC programs we like to watch each week but we're busy people and miss them regularly, and there nothing more annoying than missing the ending to a series.

I can now catch up later in the week at a time that suits. I know you can do this with Sky+ etc but we don't have it and the iPlayer is free!

You can use iPlayer to watch a program online at anytime, just visit the website, http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/ select a program and watch (or listen). However, if your broadband link is a bit shaky or you want to get a program ready, the downloadable iPlayer Desktop lets you get the program downloaded ready to watch, perhaps later when you don't have internet. Great for laptops and train journeys.
Once on your computer, you can watch the program for the next thirty days at your own time and leisure, you can even download some programs in HD.

To download just visit the iPlayer Download Page
